Sherry and Dave Geis

A message from Sherry and Dave Geis, monthly supporters since 2020

“I’m not a major donor, but what I give monthly is consistent—and makes a difference. It’s one action, and it has such a ripple effect. And the need is so great right now with so many people out of work.”

FAQs

How is it possible that $1 can help provide 3 meals?

Unlike walking into a grocery store and paying retail prices for food, the Food Bank works directly with major manufacturers, retailers and other partners locally and across the country to secure safe, healthy food that would otherwise go to waste.

Will I get a receipt for my donation?

Yes, once your donation has been processed, you will receive a confirmation letter and/or emailed receipt that you can keep for your personal records.

Can I make a donation in someone’s honor/in memory of a loved one?

Yes. More and more people are choosing alternative gift options for birthdays, holidays, memorials and many other occasions. Visit our Tribute Giving page to learn more.

How can I be removed from the mailing list or email list?

Please call us at 412-460-3663 ext. 490 or email us at [email protected] to request removal from our mailing list. Please note that our mailings are prepared well in advance so please accept our apologies if you still receive some items after this change goes into effect. We can also reduce the amount of mail you receive from us. There are various options for reduced mailings, and we welcome your call to discuss these options with us.

How do I change my monthly giving method of payment, monthly amount, or stop payment?

If you are an online monthly donor, you may visit this page to create or access your account and update online. You can also call us at 412-460-3663 ext. 490 to update over the phone. For your security, we do not recommend you send changes or updates to your credit card by postal mail or email.

While not tax-deductible, QCDs count towards your required minimum distribution (RMD) upon you reaching your 73rd year. Use our free online tool to learn more and complete your QCD within minutes.
