Food Safety for Food Pantries
Food pantries (partners that distribute groceries) are required to watch a series of videos developed by the Food Bank and take a short knowledge quiz. Complete these trainings online using the links below. Certifications are valid for three years.
Food Safety for Onsite Programs
Onsite feeding programs (partners that prepare food) are required to complete Allegheny County Health Department’s food safety certification program, or the equivalent ServSafe training from an approved ServSafe provider. Partners may apply for funding to cover the cost of the certification using the Impact Grants application. Funding is not guaranteed and will be awarded based on need.
