Thank you for fundraising to help families facing hunger. By raising community support for Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank (the Food Bank) you join our mission to feed people in need and mobilize the community to eliminate hunger.

There are many ways you can help ensure all of our neighbors have enough. One of our neighbors is Lenore, who comes to a pantry with her husband to get food for their family. They have two sons — one is in high school and their 22-year old has autism and lives at home.

Several years ago, after 25 years as an engineer, Lenore’s husband was downsized from his company and unable to find another full-time job. They went through all their savings and paid the penalty to use their 401k. Lenore and her husband did everything they could to stay above water, including fighting the mortgage company to stay in their Swissvale home — the home Lenore grew up in.

Now both Lenore and her husband have part-time jobs. The jobs help, but there were still times when they literally had no food in the house, and the Food Bank and supporters like you were there to help.

There are endless ways you can get your network excited about supporting our neighbors like Lenore. To get started, download our Community Fundraising Toolkit.

Once you decide the type of event you want to hold, complete and return the Fundraising Registration Agreement so we can recognize your efforts.
