Food Bank Farm

Help prepare, maintain, and harvest organic produce at the Food Bank Farm!

The Food Bank Farm is dedicated to growing organic produce for the Food Bank’s Green Grocer Mobile Market. Volunteers help prep and weed the soil, plant seeds, and eventually harvest the produce. Farm volunteers are essential in providing fresh, pure, organic produce to Pittsburgh food desert communities.

The Food Bank Farm hosts volunteers every Wednesday morning during farm season. This opportunity is open to individuals who are 15 years or older. All minors must be accompanied by an adult. Volunteers are required to wear face masks, closed-toed shoes, and long pants.

Volunteer as a group, individual, or family.
