Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank is hosting a Drive-Up distribution event to provide food (one share per reservation). A single share of food may come in one or more pre-packed boxes and/or bags. This is a new way to give food that helps us keep you safe during the pandemic and adhere to social distancing guidelines.
Please make a reservation in advance of the distribution events. Reservations allow us to serve you better by controlling traffic and making sure we have the right amount of food. Everyone can receive food and there is no required proof of eligibility. Your information will only be used to provide you food and help us improve your service. Please read the instructions each time you register for a new event, as our rules may change week-to-week.
There are no exceptions to one reservation getting one share of food. For one car to get two or three shares of food, the car must have more than one family or household. Each household must complete a separate reservation. The same car and license plate can be used up to three times for the same event.
In addition to the Drive-Up option, there are a limited number of home delivery reservations available for the Wilkinsburg distribution. Home delivery is only available to the following zip codes around the Wilkinsburg area: 15221, 15208, 15206. You will not be able to make a home delivery reservation if you live outside of these zip codes. Home delivery reservations are available on a first come first serve basis, and there is no required proof of eligibility.
- Each home delivery reservation will receive one 25 - pound box of shelf stable food
- Volunteer drivers will deliver the food between 9 AM - 1PM . We can't accommodate requests for deliveries to be made at a specific time.
- By registering for delivery, you agree to a volunteer delivering the food box to your home. We will share your name, delivery address and phone number with the volunteer delivering your food. The volunteer may contact you by phone to clarify delivery instructions. Volunteers are not required to complete a background check to make deliveries
- The delivery will be made by volunteers and the food will be placed on your doorstep for you to pick up once the driver leaves. Drivers are not permitted to enter the premises of any home or apartment complex.
