Retail

Our retail store program reaches 11 counties serving nearly 400 member agencies. In 2017, retail stores donated 7,100,000 pounds of food to families. Donations from stores matched directly with our partner agencies are distributed either directly to families or used at our onsite facilities.  If you’re a retail store with food to donate, know that your donations can be a cost-effective solution to inventory challenges, storage limitations, high transportation fees and waste disposal costs.

Thanks to the Bill Emerson Good Samaritan Law and tax laws, donors are protected from civil and criminal liability and offered a tax incentive.
