COLD WAR KIDS HEADLINING FOOD BANK MUSIC FESTIVAL
National and local acts to #FeedMorewithmusic
DUQUESNE, PA (May 17, 2016) — Using music to mobilize the community to eliminate hunger, Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank announced the line-up for their July 17 Feed More Festival presented by People’s Natural Gas at Stage AE. Headlining the Festival is Cold War Kids, an American indie rock band from Long Beach, California.
Stage AE opens at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 17 with the first band taking the stage at 3 p.m. In addition to Cold War Kids, the stellar lineup includes The Lone Bellow, The Stone Foxes and local bands, The Commonheart and The Mixus Brothers on the main stage and on the second stage.
To enhance the festival atmosphere, Feed More will feature a variety of food trucks and an indoor I Made It Market. The market is a crafts marketplace that provides opportunities for artists to bring their wares to sell. The Market partners with neighborhood, mainstreet, community, arts and non-profit organizations to raise funds and awareness for their organizations and to assist them in improving the community.
“As an organization designed to meet the needs of the one in seven people, including 97,540 children, in our 11-county service area who struggle with hunger, the Feed More Festival gives us the opportunity to engage with the community through music while supporting individuals and families in need,” said Lisa Scales, Food Bank president and CEO.
The committee is in negotiations with additional local bands. Tickets go on sale Friday, May 20 at 10 a.m. at ticketmaster.com. General admission tickets are $40 in advance and $50 at the gate. VIP tickets are $125. For more information, visit pittsburghfoodbank.org/feedmore.
