Breakfast 911
While working in our neighborhood, a member of our staff noticed that children who arrived late to a local school were not getting breakfast.
Now our nutrition department provides healthy breakfast foods, such as granola bars and juice boxes, to the school so that children who arrive too late for the School Breakfast Program have a chance to eat a nutritious breakfast before going to class.
We also provide education materials about the importance of breakfast and the School Breakfast Program to send home with the children.
