SFPP 30/20 Anniversary
On January 15, representatives from Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank and other anti-hunger organizations across the state celebrated the 30/20 year anniversary of the State Food Purchase Program (SFPP), which provides food to needy Pennsylvanians across the Commonwealth, and honored five sitting legislators who played a role in making SFPP state law 20 years ago. Hunger-Free Pennsylvania members – including those from the Food Bank - spread out across the capitol to deliver a note and cupcake to each office to celebrate the anniversary and highlight the importance of this program.
